Mural-sized portraits celebrating Ireland’s literary legends are composed through the writers’ most well-known works using a proprietary software program that scales individual characters to replicate the density of an image. GraphicUser and the SOM Graphics group worked directly with programmers to create this custom software that scales individual characters based on the light and dark areas of the source image. The final digital art was output on a clear substrate, glass laminated and installed with back lighting to create an ethereal experience.
